Deep Space 2's project manager, Sarah Gavit, demonstrates the miniature size of the Mars Microprobes, which are a test of ballistic delivery of small scientific instruments. After hitching a ride to Mars on the Polar Lander, the microprobes will bury themselves into Martian soil and conduct a test for water below the surface. (P-50615)
